Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

You don't need to have a conversation about burnout. Just stop staying late. Do your eight hours and leave. If that's an issue, it's your manager's problem to sort out by staffing appropriately, not by expecting employees to put in 30 hours of OT work per week.
You don’t tell you manager, you just pretend to work late and do as much as you can during your working hours. Don’t sacrifice your mental and físicas health for a job that wouldn’t think twice about replacing you.
I’m a manager. I would want my team to just be honest and come to me. Don’t know your managers style, but I would never expect any of my team to get anywhere close to that burnout breaking point. As a manager I do my best to prevent this level is expectation for anyone on my team. Occasionally I’ll folks to put in extra effort to meet a deadline but this should be rare and never enough that it would lead to any kind of burnout. I also make sure my team takes comp time if they end up putting in all kinds of extra time on something.

Hey! Let's connect. I have a solution that can help you maintain a good work-life balance.
Life is too short to be volunteering your time to make someone else richer. If it is so ingrained in the culture of your workplace that you are expected to give up that much of your personal time, then I really think you should be looking for another job. You don't have to tolerate being taken advantage of. Do the work you can do in the hours you are paid for, and then sign off.

I had to have an honest conversation with my skip about this. There were messages at 10pm and meetings at 7am. I wasn’t about it.
As someone who was in a similar boat. don’t overwork yourself, it affects your mental and physical health taking 10x the normal time to recover, I know it’s difficult to do but stick to your hours, and do your best!
