I’ve had a blog on WordPress for 12+ years and have shared links to posts on social media. I consider it an extensive portfolio for journalism jobs (writer / editor) and wonder if this counts as experience to media industry employers. I’m self-taught using WordPress. Inspiration for my blogging comes from various trips and events. I include my photography to build visual content. I also have 4 years of news writing and copy editing for my college publication.
