I've heard this get thrown around a lot, but I'm interested to know your take 👀

Does this ring true for you, or are there other, bigger factors that made you leave jobs?

I leave for money

like

That being said, unless it’s a huge margin good money with a bad manager still isn’t worth it either, a bad manager can really take a toll on you

Nah , I left Accenture because the whole firm had me f#^€ed up

likefunny

I left bc of the unsustainable amount of stress.

like

As others said - either $$ or sh*t managers.

When your doing it right - you move on to more $$ and a decent boss!

My manager rocks, upper management is the issue

Spot on for me.

Money or managers. Ideally you find both.

like

People can leave managers, sure, but a good manager with help you move on.
I’ve always hated this quote

like

Exactly, people are meant to grow and get a better role, either promoted or by leaving otherwise what’s the point

Absolutely. I’m in this position right now.

like

Right now if I left it would be the company is chaotic and compensation. not my manager

like

I don’t know, I like my overseers but the job and company itself is a nightmare

That’s 99% true in my experience.

Seems accurate. Not my manager but my manager's manager. Left due to retaliation stemmed from sexism/discrimination from the top.

I quit a company because I wanted to earn more money, I asked for a $1 raise and received $.35. I loved the people I worked with and the type of work, but I wanted more compensation and the only way I could get it was to leave.

In soccer, the defense can let the ball go through or the man go through but not both. In the workplace you can have bad compensation or bad manager but not both.

I have an offer accepted from Elevance 125k (Anthem) and w a good team and seems that WLB would be ok. Also, Amazon hiring manager wants to interview me for a job. Is just a hiring manager int. so obvi nothing guaranteed. Salary if offered will be more than 150k. My question is should I accept the interview and see where it goes? Is it really worth it to proceed with a company like Amazon for 25k+. I live in CA so $ is imp but I do have a toddler so WLB is also imp. Both role are Sr. MGR.

Does anyone have any experience or know of someone who went from FDD to PE operations (think Cerberus COAC). Would be great to hear any insights or thoughts on the jump and transition.

Hi everyone. I’m trying to transition from working at a non-profit to a more profitable position within research. My current title at my org is as a CR-assistant. Any suggestions of good transitional positions within clinical research? (That could be done remotely). Thank you!!

Hi all! I recently finished my Masters in Biology. I worked on a few studies with human subjects as well as animal work. I am hoping to get a job in clinical research as either a CRC or CRA. I previously worked at a doctors office as a care manager for 4 years, but outside of my academic work I don’t have experience in research. What advice do you all have for entering the field in my position?
Thanks!!

This is twice now in back to back weeks my boss has asked me where the disconnect was in our communications because I didn’t deliver on what “was asked”, even though I know damn well what was asked and what was done were the same thing. I’m not sure if he’s changing the meaning or isn’t communicating what he’s envisioning or what but it’s embarrassing to be called out like that, and to have people think you’re the dumb 23 year old.
