Take the offer or lose the position. It’s an EmployER job market now. Time for negotiating was during your phone screen and interview. You should have known what your asking salary was when you applied and asked or been given the benefits after your interview. I’m speaking as a Recruiting Manager - Hiring Managers don’t like to feel squeezed by last minute negotiations and it will definitely start you off on the wrong foot. I hope you will either accept the offer or decline it within the timeframe.
Yeah, when someone offers you a job I just accept it and if you dont like the pay and benefits I look for something else while being employed
The market isn’t in our favor, but if you are already having concerns over this job, this might be the final straw, and I’d take that seriously. Take an hour to sit down, get into it, and then follow what your gut says.
They want an offer by tomorrow because the market is in their favor and if you take your time they have a backup in mind already.
The standard waiting time was typically two business days, so next day is not that huge a change. And seriously, you should be capable of assessing the numbers in a day, it can't be that complicated. Just check the numbers and make a decision and let them know, no need to waste any time worrying about it.
Take it
Take it, and if the salary is too low and the benefits are not what you had hoped for, look for something better while you're employed and you're generating some income for yourself and family if you have a family.
