I've seen in some other bowls people sum up their accomplishments for the week. But I feel like in what we do, there's not really a weekly "win". Relate/don't relate?

My idea of a weekly accomplishment is that nothing fell apart.

like

Amen!!!!

Try to look for KPI or OKR. Or any process improvement initiatives. And sometimes if weekly is not that meaningful, try other timeframe.
But I feel you. Naturally our jobs are more routine and mostly we just try not to make mistakes.

like

No covid. Ports don’t take forever. Loads are always on time. The inventory strategy doesn’t fall apart. All of procurement’s suppliers meet their contractual obligations. Forecasting was spot on. Nothing needed emergency maintenance that killed outputs. If all of those things were true, win.

Working in a DC as long as my people don't get hurt and the stores get their freight it was a good week........

Supply chain is a thankless job, but when S*** goes south, people hear about it! No news is good news!

Wins I include are quiet weeks/days. Covering that tough load or hitting OTD to a difficult customer. Meeting Case fill metrics etc.

like

I would look at customer service levels / inventory levels / holds level. Those are key metrics I weekly emphasized on

I totally relate to that. It can be hard to see the impact of our work on a day-to-day basis. We're often working behind the scenes to make sure that everything runs smoothly, and it can be easy to feel like our work is invisible.

like

No fire. No blood. No broken equipment. No lost inventory from carelessness.
Those are my victories some weeks. Some weeks if I get 3/4 I'm happy. Some weeks as long as its one of them (no fires sometimes is all I have 😂)

It's super frustrating to be "time poor".

That's seemingly just the nature of working in Biglaw.

But every day you have the option to buy back your time.

How do you buy back time?

It's simple—by saving and investing.

And you don't need to be uber wealthy to regain control of your time.

Hi everyone,
I passed my PMP thanks to this sub group.
I have passed Above Target in the People section, and T in the other sections.
It was 95% situational questions.
Thave used AR's mock exams, and used my wrong answers to figure out my weakness and where I truly stand. I didn't purchase AR's course, just the mock exam simulator.
The 200 agile questions by David McLachlan were amazing, it really helped me in adapting to an agile mindset. TIA simulator n Joseph Phillip is useful.
