Job search related. Where do you guys look for jobs if you do not wish to show as open for work on Linked in. I know about indeed, local county job postings. Where else can I look for job opportunities. Prefer not to work with the recruiters for now.
TIA

Glassdoor, state society employment lists if the site has a job board, looking at firm career sites for firms in my area. Some companies don’t have their postings show up on 3rd party aggregators so you need to look at their website to find relevant job postings.

You can still search LinkedIn, but not say "open to work."

I'm searching for my next role, and linkedin has been extremely responsive.

If you went to college, I'd see if they have some kind of alumni job search.

I also use Google - it aggregates jobs if you type something like “tax manager jobs in Chicago”. Not perfect, some duplicates, but you can see an opening then check the company website to apply. I would not click through the google results unless it says sourced directly from the company, otherwise you might go to a fake job in my experience.

Compliance question here, I have always thought of the SALT deduction on the fed return as a perm item & have treated as such in such sch M-3. I see that some people put it as a temp on sch M-3. What is the justification for treating it as a temp on the M-3. You don’t set up a deferred on the def RF for the state tax deduct & it is also a rate impacting item (I know that some temps can be rate impacting). But this all leaves me to side with perm. Does anyone know the logic behind temp treatment?

To make matters worse - NJ doesn't have a paper part time resident return - so you file a resident and non resident separately. Ours net to a refund but the resident one shows a large amount due and the non resident shows a large cont...

Went from a big firm to work for a smaller firm. The people in the smaller firm are protective of their work and are good by their work too. I no longer feel chaos or stress. I am treated with respect and my schedule is more normal. I am even working more billable hours than before, but it feels like a seamless experience. I don’t work then past 5pm or anything out of the ordinary for this time of the year. I am so grateful!

I interviewed for KPMG on 11/15 for a Senior role and the HR emailed me on 11/16 that everyone liked me but they think I should be hired as an Experienced Associate. I had a call with the HR on 11/17 wherein we discussed about my salary expectations and the HR said he will get back in a day. It’s been more than 10 days and multiple follow ups but still no response. I don’t think I was rude while talking to the HR, I just told my current salary and asked for min. that no. Did i miss the chance ?
