Joined CGI 2 months ago as an Azure Data Engineer (4+ years exp) on a Canada project. I’m the only CGI offshore resource, with others from CTS. no clarity in project, there’s no onboarding or support, and I’m under heavy pressure. I’m managing by asking questions, but it’s tough.
Anyone faced this in an offshore role? How did you cope? Considering leaving due to stress, but worried a 2-month stint will hurt my resume. With Azure, Databricks, and Spark SQL skills, will I find good opportunities?

I prepared a presentation for an interview with a sales leader, it went well and I was offered a final interview with regional manager. The sales leader I interviewed with gave me a bunch of feedback, but said to find out information about tech stack, which I for some reason, didn’t consider. I come to find out that deep, hidden within the website of the hypothetical client, they use the service already. Do I roll into the final interview and play dumb or do i present and then come clean?

I just learned that I get to argue all of our pre-trial motions and do a direct examination at an upcoming trial. What are your best tips for preparing and setting yourself up for success? I want to hear them all! I’m beyond excited for the opportunity. It’s for our biggest client, so I really want to impress!

Received an offer at 300k/year and a Google offer at 200k/year.
I wanted Google since I started the whole interview process, but I am now not sure given the salary difference.

The position at Google is more junior and the team is just being formed, which involves more risk. However, I like the team at the other company.

The difference in salary is really considerable to push me to rethink this. Is it worth it? Can you share your experiences of when you accepted a lower job offer and why?

Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.
