Joining a new firm in the federal space and I’m not being offered a company phone. Is that typical? I’m a new manager at Accenture Federal.

Managers at AFS are eligible for company phones. That’s the first level where you don’t need a waver/senior manager approval. Not sure how you get one but 99% sure that’s the policy.

Thanks! I will just deal for now, I start in three weeks so I still have awhile before I’ll have any other contact besides the recruiter. And security that’s running my gov background.

We all get work phones at D. From analyst up.

I don’t believe it’s typical.

Are they not offering any $ reimbursement for using your personal phone for work?

Made a big jump from Senior Analyst...?!

Thank you Guidehouse 1

I think only senior managers and above get a comped work phone. You may be able to run it up the chain if you find it’s affecting your ability to perform

Fairly typical. We get a monthly allowance towards our phone.

EY just pays cell phone reimbursement. Everyone gets the same amount, all the way up to Partner.

Thanks all. I haven’t started yet but I don’t think I’m being offered reimbursement because the recruiter didn’t mention when he said no company phone.

Depending on your client , you get a client issued phone

What happens if you quit your job while in the process of getting a clearance?

Booz Allen Hamilton rescinded my offer because my current firm will not waive the non-compete clause in our employee agreement. It was allegedly a capability hire, and not tied to a particular project.

I work one level above entry level, and really shouldn’t even have such a restrictive non-compete.

I’ve already resigned, and would prefer to be unemployed rather than continue working here.
