I’m in the la office. New hires in tax got paid 5k more if they have a masters in tax (64k). I’m not sure about other offices.
Usually you get 2-3k more with a Master's
No

No, tax new hires all start with a masters
EY 3, not true. I know multiple people in tax who started without a master's
Lol ahhhh the innocent of a future 1st year...
I’m in tax and we had a couple without masters, same pay as all the ones with it
Yes, but i guess depends on the firm and location
SM1 where was your voice when I got my offer letter???
If you have a masters in Tax at PwC your starting pay is $10k more than if you only have a bachelors. But after 3 years they both even out to be the same salary. This is in the NYM area.
If you are in tax at PwC and you have a masters in tax, starting salary is 10k higher
To clarify, I’ll have a Master’s in accounting, which I know is a lot less valuable than a Master’s in tax
I highly suggest you don’t pursue a masters in accounting and go for a masters in tax or the MBA. You’re wasting your money otherwise
