Just got an email saying you can double up on the Marriott cards to get 30 elite night credits/yr. You still get another free night so that almost makes the card pay for itself. Although redemption value is 35k now (I remember it being 40k or 50k equivalent before).

Worth it or do you all think Marriott status / points will be worth less and less in the coming years. I don't travel anymore so this could be helpful to maintain platinum status or get to lifetime Plat a lot quicker.
