When did you start your career? From 2015 it's mandatory to give a PF account for all employers. Asking for PF means just filtering fake experience guys
I started in 2018. As per my knowledge, for employee strength below 20, PF is not mandatory. However, I do have PF in my current company. But I wasn't eligible because I didn't have PF in the companies I worked on before this
They just want to save their ass from doing background checks otherwise it is not necessary
Most of the big reputed MNC will ask to verify
no they check 10 yr
They are just filtering fake experience people. Why are you worried?
I don't think every MNC does this. I am currently working in one and have been approached by others, this is the first time I have heard of mandatory PF. Who knows what goes on in this industry!
While I have applied for Infosys and was filling the form, in the experience section, there was a similar checkbox which asked if the company you worked in had PF or not.
Agreed
Yes weird. How will fake experience guys like us survive in long term ?
I don't see anything weird in that. They are trying to filter fake experience guys.
some companies in before 2017 Dont use pf as it is small
weird
They are asking for PF account for later verification purposes if you get hired.
Nowadays companies are using PF history as one of the parameters for background check. If a person has genuinely worked in a company in a full time role, then he/she will definitely have PF contribution. If a person has come up with a fake experience, then definitely he/she will not have this PF history, and this way the recruiting company can filter out the candidates.
Note: The consultants/freelancers/contract based employees don't have this PF, even if they worked genuinely.
correct many genuine company dont have pf
