Yes, I started invisalign in October 2018, they were flexible with payments to take advantage of my HCSA. I had my first consultation at Manhattan Bridge Ortho and it was more high tech - did a full head xray to get imaging of my teeth, did a physical analysis where they called out my jaw was slightly misaligned and quoted 5.4k, 1 alignment/adjustment and 2 permanent retainers. Their treatment plan was 1 tray every 2 weeks. My teeth weren't all that bad so I was hesitant to spend that much?
Went to TDC and it was 3.5k, $700 for 4 sets of permanent retainers, unlimited adjustments for 5yrs. Instead of a full xray, they had the handheld scope thing that was stuck in my mouth in weird positions to take pics and somewhat felt like I was used for training? Idk what their position was but the person who took my scans actually said it was their first time doing it unassisted....
Overall, I'm still wearing invisalign 2yrs later but I'm on my 3rd set (1 new tray a week), granted I didn't get a new set for a while due to rising covid cases. If I went with MBO, each additional adjustment would've been at least 1k extra and they couldn't give me any assurance on whether I would need additional adjustments besides the 1 included, so considering TDC is unlimited, it gives me some comfort knowing that I can bring up concerns after each set and still be treated without worrying about shelling out more $$
Np! There was another post in this bowl about invisalign from a few days ago:

I went to GramercySmiles for Invisalign and was very happy with their care!
Reading workplace chats about NYC jobs takes me back to my own grind and late nights balancing work and self-improvement. Between interviews and daily hustle, finally starting Invisalign brought a confidence boost I didn’t expect: https://levydentalarts.com/invisalign/
