Just graduated, but can’t seem to find work in my degree. The jobs I’ve been applying to for months haven’t responded, or immediately reject me. No big deal, I’ll apply to retail and restaurant jobs for temporary work. Same response. Radio silence, and rejections. If I get an interview, I’m rejected the day after. Fast food jobs won’t hire me. It’s depressing. I keep changing tactics, changing my resumes. Nothing. Won’t be able to afford rent in a month too. No idea what I’m doing wrong.

Why if you are on H1B is so much problematic for vendors looking for contractors ? Vendors keep on asking to join on W2 rather that Corp to Corp although for employees on H1B we cannot join on W2 due to immigration issues. Point being does it matter for end client , if the contractor is coming as W2 or not ?

My partner and I bought our home back in 2020. We got a good deal, low rate. But we want to move into a more spacious SFH. However, as we all know this market is crazy. Everything we want costs $620k+ and bc of rates it makes our mortgage estimates $3500+. We are currently paying $2k. And it looks we need to sell the house simultaneously as look for a new one or our contingency isn’t as attractive. I know it’s based on personal circumstances. But what would you do? - not move, sell and buy?
