Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

That's not coaching it's cheating
Was there an internal interview conducted prior to the client interview to gauge skills and experience? I’m wondering why the client was involved without properly vetting the potential resource first
What did Serena do?
... Then had to explain to our client lead what happened and got grilled for it. I feel embarrassed for our firm. Should I take this up to the resource's management? I don't want this to happen to another client and continue to damage our brand, but I don't have 100% proof of what happened.
Yes, SC1
Just Wow!
SC1 beat me to it
So this person is a manager. I really do need to learn to adapt to them haha. I will ask her to slow down
Did you read the whole thread, McK1?
D1, not sure of his Visa status.
Yeah that’s a huge wtf
OP has similar definitions for coaching and cheating. Please shout out this as cheating.
Not funny @sc1
Sorry, engagement partner and resource manager
Disgraceful!!! Why do you guys do that ??
Is the staffing model at ACN such that you interview each person with the client team before staffing? I haven’t heard of that before
Lol how did you not interview your resource before putting them in front of the client? This seems obvious.... and if you did then you didn’t make a good first evaluation. Don’t blame the resource for you not doing your job the first time or failing to think about the risks of placing a unqualified candidate to damage our brand/work
I’m just disappointed that there are no Serena references in this thread. On a more serious note, isn’t it common practice to have a call with the resource internally first before propping them in front of the client?
K3 nice try. Fact of the matter, client was pissed. Optics are shattered. Facts or not. What are you? Audit?
Wow... just read this. How awful. I would most certainly escalate.
ATK2, it's Consultant level.
Yikes. If this is visa related then yeah it’s a serious concern.
