Just need a space to vent. I am miserable in my current role, I’ve been doing it for nearly four years (since graduating law school) and it’s become extremely clearly that there’s no growth. I’m nearing burn out and have been actively applying and searching for months but firms are shying away from even interviewing because of the type of work I do (asbestos) although at a big law firm. Someone please tell me it gets better or how to get out of this space into some other role.

I have been trying to exit consulting for a while now. I am gonna get the EAD card for Gc somewhere around mid next year. Should I wait till I get it or should I make a move? Reason I ask is I’m getting very few callbacks and I think it’s coz I’m on a H1.

For the past few months of interviewing have made it to the final round with a few firms, and the feedback is similar, ‘I’m a great candidate, but it’s not the right time’ Is this code for something? Am I missing something?

M&A/PE associate (trying to juggle multiple deals) feeling like I don’t have time to dive deeper into issues and it being highlighted in some of my work product as I am having to turn things right away and just pushing things out - so issues I may have caught if I had a better/deeper/higher level understanding are more apparent when partners review.
