Dear all,
My friend is trying to get into her 1st full-time job. Previously she worked as a UI UX designer for multiple clients (freelance). But she couldn't manage to get an interview call. She is an excellent UI UX designer and an illustrator. If anyone has any options, kindly comment below, I will share her resume. She is a btech graduate with 2 year experience in ui ux designing/illustration field.

So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

There are groups doing commercial work at BAH. Try to do some of that work for a few months, update resume so it's tailored to commercial, and then start networking/applying. If you've never worked on commercial clients before, it will be very tough to move firms to do commercial work.
Yes if you have in demand skills, helps to be more on the junior side. Very difficult to do as a leader
^^ you don't need a reason to hate federal; there are so many reasons and they are documented so well.
What? lol
🍿
What are your quals/selling points? I assume you're not going to peddle PPBE expertise or knowledge of the defense acquisition process.
What don't you like about federal?
What were you promised when you joined your firm? "Work with the best and smartest, solve important problems, learn from business leaders, find future opportunities that will be lucrative, gain experience that will make you valuable in the c suite..." none of that exists in federal
Why is that? I was considering going federal.
I think you push into the aerospace/defense or Industrial Goods practices in B4. There are tons of Ian who want that referral 💰 and will get you an intro.
