This app has made me really like KPMG a lot more. And I really like Deloitte a lot less.
This app has actually made me appreciate K more
D4 example of how K doesn't invest in their people? They spend tons on training, training doesn't count against util, we're building a massive DU type learning center, we get reimbursed for just about every cert under the sun. What else could they possibly do to invest in their people?
Shocker Deloitte acting like douchebags again
@D1 Yo, shut up and stop making us look bad. - Your PPD, probably
That's because you separate advisory from consulting at Deloitte and we put it all in 1 umbrella
Lol it must suck being so butt hurt that ppl don't say MBBD that you have to talk shit to every other firm to "prove" your self worth
I'm sure there are a lot of things you haven't heard of like emotional intelligence and manners
Also, the numbers are really a mood point. Who the fuck cares? Are you a partner? Are you seeing any of that profit? You should only be concerned with whether or not YOU feel happy with your firm/career. Comparison is the thief of joy.
I was praising your firm, K5. Maybe check your ego? It seems rather insecure.
Lol@ needing to wait a decade to get a Porsche.
I feel the same way about my own firm now! 👎🏻
KPMG does seem less douchey. However, they don't seem to invest enough in their own people, which may be related... maybe you just need to have less ego to take a job with them.
Don't pay as much, more archaic technology, had more manual and redundant tasks. This came from people who are ex KPMG and came to Deloitte.
Don't understand the haters Pwc1 and Bain1
OP supports Trump.
Pay is slightly lower but high performers move up faster. I've seen 26 year old managers/28 year old directors. Some of our software is dated but they've updated a lot of it over the past few months (time entry, expense entry, etc).
Our timesheet / expense software is the worst
Honestly I haven't met many people I don't like or get along with at KPMG or a Deloitte but it's an interesting idea though. At Deloitte consulting makes more than advisory and commercial consultants tend to be cockier than fed in my experience
D5-oh poor analyst.
Advisory is glorified audit but 30% of kpmg advisory is actually consulting: deal advisory, strategy and segments of kpmg MC. I'm amazed how these threads escalate. Clearly kpmg has much of the Consulting that the other firms have. It's just deal, strategy and some MC, which is actual consulting, is under the advisory umbrella.
@K1 KPMG gets top talent too (not Ivy League but same target schools as rest of big 4). Many people just prefer a work life balance so they're sold on the kpmg pitch. I was picking between banking and kpmg. Didn't even apply to Deloitte. Unwilling to work an extra 20 hours a week for 6k more in starting salary.
