My base loc is Bengaluru, but currently I am not mandatorily required to work from office, and have been working from home since I joined Deloitte in July. Should I talk to my manager and go back to my hometown Kolkata and work from there? Staying in PG all day and working from here is not quite feasible for me. Suggest pls. Deloitte India

You jumped for the same salary....?
Haven’t jumped. Asking for feedback and also mentioned I can probably negotiate up
KPMG advisory is audit
KPMG Audit is Audit
I work in Advisory and it’s not audit. I love the culture at KPMG and I used to work at D and it’s much better here
Keep in mind there’s no ESPP and less 401k matching
OP, between consulting firms do not jump for less than 20 to 30% range.
Under the hood, they are all the same with small caveats and nuances between them (including being stronger in some markets than others) as well as highly varied feel between practices and projects.
A lateral jump for same pay is a huge no go imo.
I agree with this. Typically takes longer for promo for exp hires too
@OP I came from kpmg advisory to Accenture so can provide some feedback. I really wouldn’t jump for anything less than 20-30% bump, it’s not worth it IMO. Kpmg has great people but the culture can be pretty cut throat and some of the work can be dull as well. Some of the work can be interesting, but like accenture, you may find yourself in a PMO role or staff aug. feel free to DM
I am in Sydney, I was offered to either take a redundancy or find a role that was 100% sold, FT 6 months+.
I chose to take redundancy with financial incentive from Accenture Interactive.
One month later I started at KPMG w/ promotion and I think higher than base manager salary.
Always push for more if you are jumping.

Pay raise or don’t jump- why would you put yourself through the brain damage for the same job (essentially) and pay?
