Listening in on a call in my room, thought I was muted, my mom walks in and says “are you busy” and I said “no”

Room in my parents house, it was over Covid lock downs so I was staying with them

A team member forgot to drop the conference call from previous meeting. After another 30 mins, I join again and she’s still on the call without mute.

She was still on the call and sounds like having a fight with her fiancé. She obviously didn’t hear us coz she’s away but we can hear them yelling on and off but not distracting enough. After another 10 mins, we started hearing the makeup xxx sound and that’s when I decided to reschedule our call.

Glad it was just an internal call.

It was one of those conference phone call. Not Teams/Zoom thing like nowadays.

Can’t drop her or do anything. And it was the same conference line for every meeting back in the good old days.

My cat kept crying and I yelled out “shut up I already fed you!” Lol so embarrassed

Agree with A1 - cats are aholes; also I love my dogs, and they are so spoiled. The whining is worth it because of all the love and snuggles they give.

Was on a program wide call (75+ ppl) that was running 30min over...
My gf gives me a call and asks how my day is going to which i respond "*sigh* just on some call that doesn't f****** matter".
After 15 seconds of silence I hear "so yeah just want to remind everyone to go on mute if they're not talking"... I look down and see, of course, I am that person not on mute. RIP

funnylike

I had a person I was dating come out to say good bye and said ‘That was amazing and thank you for last night..’ And the next thing I heard is my client going ‘Can someone mute their line, please?’ 😬

And hr later my buddy calls and asks if I heard that? I responded ‘I hope so…she was saying it to me!’ Lol

I fell asleep during a team standup, and I didn’t realize I was muted, and I was snoring for a good 10 min straight Lmaoo

Let’s talk about wrongful termination. The other day I was fired in the middle of the day without any warning. My colleagues called me because they were confused on why the Talent Manager dismissed me from the chat. I didn’t know what they were referring to. So I called my PM to ask what was happening, and she said that she just got off the phone with the TM and said they were terminating my contract on the spot due to me speaking up about micromanaging. No explanation just kicked out. Advice?
