Considering moving to Denver to be closer to nature and family. Husband and I can easily transfer jobs. No kids yet but ideally soon.

We live in Chicago (Lincoln park) and love it - the walkability, bar and restaurant scene, shopping, cleanliness, etc. - and are trying to find similar neighborhoods in the Denver area. I’d like something bougie (not afraid to admit it), safe, with single family homes and that’s not too hipster/crunchy/west coast grunge. Any neighborhood recommendations?

Been in consumer insights all my work life (10 years) and considering pivoting to product or product marketing manager roles. Yet I have had some interesting convos for people manager roles in insights recently and wondering if I should maybe refocus my efforts there. I’m looking for a broader mandate than just my immediate pipeline. I have been enjoying insights but grow frustrated by the lack of decision-making power. I currently have my EAD based on my OPT with an addition 2 year renewal. I have also submitted a marriage based GC application in Nov 2021, did my biometrics currently waiting on my interview. I have an offer from a tech company and want to leave my current employer. I am worried if I tell my upcoming employer about being currently on OPT they will freak out and take back their offer even doh I can work and don’t need their sponsorship.

I accepted an offer from another consulting firm and my H1B visa has also been transferred. I have not joined the new role yet. However I had been interviewing with another firm and expecting an offer I know this is not the best practice but is it allowed to accept another offer even though H1 transfer has been approved through another employer? If I accept the second offer does this raise any red flags with USCIS as they potentially see 2 almost consecutive visa transfer requests?

Growing up was rough. On my 8th birthday my dad had an accident that led to this death a few days later. He was a good man who took care of us all (I had 3 siblings now 2; lost 1 few years ago). I made a couple errors at a new job. An important document to be distributed had wrong information on it, which was proofread by 2 other people. Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. I was written up over all this last week, fired this week. There’s a lot more to this but I think it’s because the DM doesn’t like me.

I got a call from KPMG HR for the role of Associate consultant in research team, When she asked me about the expected ctc, I think I quoted less than the market standards but since I am underpaid currently so the amount I quoted was 40-45% hike on my fixed. I have experience of 2.9years
Can anybody please suggest if I clear their interviews will they consider increasing CTC from whatever I quoted becase upon searching for ACon roles they pay much higher than what I quoted.
