Needing client/carrier authorization to prepare for a deposition?
God I can barely get my adjusters attention to authorize necessary motions, good luck with that.

like

Plan and prepare for upcoming deposition of Plaintiff by analyzing.... Complaint, BP, prior reports, to identify relevant questions and prepare deposition outline tailored to facts, claims, etc.

Getting client authorization for prep time then “plan and prepare as authorized by ____ on ____”

"strategic evaluation of (issue) and records addressing elements of (cause if action). I don't even mention the deposition if possible

I got an offer for a 3-mo contingent role at Meta as a CSM that pays more than double what I make now.

The pay rate makes it hard (if not impossible) to say no - but I'm apprehensive about accepting a contract offer, especially one that's only 3-months  ending on Jan 2.

Obviously, I'm already thinking about what I'd do next. I'd love to stay in tech. Just curious if anyone has experience with a short-term contract & what the job-search process looks like during/after the contract expires.

Thought Lewis was pretty disrespectful with Checo today, when he said during the post race interview that “you know their car is quick when you’ve got Checo on your tail”. Tried to save it with “being able to follow you so closely”. Not cool, especially in Checo’s home race and after a fine P3 performance.

Newly barred attorney here! Considering a position at a small firm that represents corporations in claims against insurance companies. I love litigation but have never considered insurance litigation. Any advice?

I worked FT as a paralegal and went to law school in the evening. I recently interviewed at a small ID firm in employment law with about 9 attorneys. They asked for a writing sample. I dont have anything recent but provided what I had from last yr in a legal writing class, it was not enough for them. I became licensed this May so I dont have an array of motions to pick from. Then they asked for my undergrad transcript, at this point, I am now annoyed They are not Biglaw. Are they going overboard

I have worked in house for an insurer for 20 years plus. New to this group but excited to see dialogue and networking opportunities.
