1st Job - 90k…. Is this a good salary? Late to the game at 34. Don’t even know anything about personal finance. Basically feeling like an 18 year old over here with no knowledge of how to run my own life. Having to start over after long term controlling relationship where I was left out of all the finance stuff. So I’m lost TBH. Engineering makes sense, managing my money not so much.

I got approached for direct admit partner opportunities at 2 of the top 10 firms. I am currently a director and just don't see a future (nor was considered) for partner track at CohnReznick. Hello! I'm wondering if you all could give input on my salary. I'm a civil engineer in Chicago with 1.5 yr experience making $66,150. Bonuses are about $2k a year (not guaranteed).

The only reason I'm asking is because Glassdoor says the average starting salary is $77k and with my experience I should be making $85k. I'm not sure how accurate these numbers are though. Any input appreciated!

It’s Friday night at midnight and I just got out of work. I am new to FPP defense. So far it’s soul crushing. I feel like a robot just doing the same pattern pleadings and discovery over and over. If I try to be creative or ask questions I get the response that I should not recreate the wheel… basically just cut and paste. My brain feels like it’s going to rot doing this work. Does it get better or do I need to plan my exit to a different field ASAP?
