Those who do financial modeling at work: for case study in interviews, is it bad practice to submit a model based on a premade template, assuming that I understand all formulas and incorporate my own reasonable assumptions? For reference, I don’t work with fundamental modeling (quant background) so I needed to get a template to teach myself. TIA

Round or exact numbers on banners/LPs? I was curious about this since in negotiations for example or pricing it's better to have the exact number. But if you have a case study, for example, is it better to say "Client X increased their revenue to 1,000,000 ARR" instead of "Client X increased their revenue to 987,500 ARR" ? I have Finished Six sigma Green belt & after adding that on Resume along with 5 years of Warehouse experience, i got few interviews & was offered around 60k a year
Currently i am about to give CSCP (Certifed supply chain professional) exam.
What Base salary should i expect after getting Certified & 5 years of exp in Warehouse/operations/Management role?

I am planning to shift to Data Analyst/Data scientist role. Right now i work for a project where I'm a software eng & we have to maintain our application on C++ code. It is more like support/dev and unit testing combined. Coding is hardly involved and my hold on DS is weak so not sure if I'll be able to crack technical interviews for C++ dev or anything similar.
So is this a right decision to move from application dev role to Data Science/analyst field? Does software engineer gets paid more?
