Looking for some encouragement in the land use arena. I’ve been practicing and becoming familiar with land use law and unlike other areas of law I’ve been able to get pretty acclimated with, I feel like after two years (10
years practicing overall), land use is still a major challenge for me. Any helpful advice or resources? I realize how jurisdiction-specific this area can be, but was just looking for some general guidance.

Are there any in-house jobs that focus on strategic thinking, advisory, research, writing/communicating with business teams? Or do they all mostly focus on drafting/reviewing contracts? I’m in big law and yearning for a lifestyle improvement but am concerned with getting bored in-house

There hasn’t been any talks about extending my contract, so I am getting very nervous about potentially being out of work in July. I cringe when I'm at a friend's house and they answer their phone, find out it's a telemarketer, and just hang up on them. It's so rude. They know I have to cold-call people at my job and you'd think they would at least act like they were more respectful of the job.

I really like LGL because I get to work on something new every day and most of the questions posed to me require creative thinking/solutions.
