The best wlb is working on an internal corp services team, no util requirements and culture is what you make of it.
Hours are pretty standard 40/week unless it’s busy season or if you have time sensitive deliverables. Some people wear themselves out by working more than is necessary. The work will always be there.
Culture is 4/10 in my opinion, and that 4 rating is only because I’ve found a decent group of coworkers/friends that help me get through. Overall, it’s been pretty non existent or toxic.
WLB is there but you have to set your own boundaries. Do your work well and you determine how often you take off, etc. I am aware this may not be the case for everyone but it is for me. My work speaks for itself so I take off and balance my schedule to protect my peace, so I never have any bad WLB experiences here.
My only con is over the company culture. So many benefits taken away and a push to exceed every single day is so tiring.
Do with this info as you see fit.
100% agree. Also, it’s important that others see you as a competent person from day 1 and you’re able to deliver on your provided estimates of work.
