Is HCL providing WFH setup cost to new joiners?
Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

Leaving Booz for PwC?? What are you thinking??? Unless it’s Strategy&, then it’s a good choice
ITS A TRAP!
Don’t go Big 4, you’ll lose your soul
Good luck!!
Kpmg1: lol. My experience in the bah federal practice has involved blatant rudeness and lack of respect from internal employees. After this experience I feel like anything else can be better for me.
EY1: my souls is already lost. My prior firm was EY lol. Looking back ey was slightly better but had more pronounced issues like collusion and lack of accountability. Lack of accountability is more pronounced in bah compared to ey federal practice.
What is BAH?
Oh Booz Allen Hamilton lol
OP, sorry to hear you had such a bad experience
Didn’t PwC buy Booz?!?
Don’t do it
Pwc4: crazy isn’t always bad. Haha
Haha! I’m just kidding. PwC is a great company.
Good luck!
PwC bought Booz, not BAH. Booz and BAH used to be the same firm, but then split. PwC bought Booz subsequent to that split. Correct me if I’m wrong but BAH is the more implementation/MC/technology piece and Booz was just strategy. So the PwC acquisition was essentially like recombining BAH and Booz and then throwing audit and tax in there too.
Kpmg 2:
Nice insight. I had no clue.
