Hey fishes. I have been offered Management Consultant role with CTC break up in terms of JB, RB, fixed and variable. So is the fixed amount my gross salary without any other deduction except TDS, or will the organisation contribution to PF be also deducted from the fixed component? I am looking a salary reality check here. I am a dev lead\architect (no direct reports but lead a team of 3.) I rarely go over 40 hours and most of time I'm under 40. I like that. But I'm only at 135k base with a 10k bonus. I have 20 YOE and have worked here for 10 years. We only get a 3.5% raise annually. I am trying to figure if it's worth moving for. Level.fyi is showing up into the 400s but thats at FAANG. I've seen 200 base in other places. How bad off am I? I'm in Texas.

Would you stay living in a city you like but have very few friends there, or move back to your hometown where most of your friends and family are? My current city has a population of about 500k and my hometown is about 100k. My main reason to move away from my hometown was dating and jobs, but neither seem to be going any better over the past 2 years. COL is about 28% higher than my hometown and jobs don’t pay much better.
