I have heard that Goldman Sachs is rescinding offers of temporary contract workers. I have an offer letter from Goldman Sachs Bangalore for a full time permanent role and am already on notice period. There is still 2 months for the joining date. Is there a hiring freeze coming? If yes, will they rescind offers that have already been made? Goldman Sachs

Hi! A friend recently launched a Project Management software called Heycollab - I think it’s pretty cool and like the UI but I’d love to get more feedback - they’re very passionate about the product and would appreciate the help!

Have an offer from industry for Senior Accountant role. I really want to get away from accounting though. Not sure what to do given how bad the economy is doing. Part of me wants to do the safe thing and take the job and explore options when things clear up, and part of me wants to wait it out as unemployment is keeping me afloat.
If you’re looking to get into TAS financial due diligence (FDD) you need to realize that this is still very much an accounting role, albeit a bit different than audit or industry accounting.
TAS isn't really hiring (quite the opposite) but I second what the person above me said...it's still an accounting role. Maybe worthwhile to continue where you are for the moment until something you like pops up.
I want to eventually transition into FP&A. A few months ago I was getting interviews and I stupidly declined offers. Now all I’m hearing is that you need experience to get in.
Your experience is fine for senior level FDD roles in TAS, but unfortunately timing is tough - deal volumes are extremely low right now and essentially no one is hiring while practices figure out if there will be layoffs. Wouldn’t hurt to start networking with FDD people so that you’re in a good position to apply when things pick up but you need to be realistic

Yeah, try to find people with common connections or shared background with you. People cold message on LinkedIn all the time - just ask for calls to talk about their experience getting into their role and their current role. Will give you a better picture of what they actually do and they can refer you later once things normalize
