Looking to get my foot in the door as an Insurance Agent after being in the Service Industry for a little over 15 years. Recently passed my Property & Casualty exam and got licensed in my state. Any and all advice, especially from those of you that have made a similar career change would be greatly appreciated.

OP I worked in IT prior to coming into the insurance industry but it was a great switch for me. One thing that helped me get my foot in the door was getting a referral. My friend referred me and I know that kind of fast tracked my application.

After you are stealth laid off, other than job search, what do you do? I assume they won’t give you work and even if they do, you can politely decline? How do you feel about you are not progressing anymore and seeing other people progressing in their career? I have no intention to make partner, but still feel a bit stuck not doing that much.

Hi All, I'm looking for Product folks who'd be interested in chatting with me about their experience in Google, the products they work on, the journey into Google, what they look for while hiring, what kind of skills will be an asset. I am a Product Manager in a different company now, but joining Google is a long time goal, hoping to learn from your experience and align my learnings to be a solid candidate in the near future. Not applying now but planning the best way of getting there. Thanks!

Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.

I am in the process of finishing up my MBA but considering also getting my SPHR or PHR cert. Is it even worth it or a waste of time and money?

Hi all, I’m looking to learn about how one can transition from PwC AC to PwC India.
I joined PwC AC Bangalore as a fresher and have been working here for 13 months.
I was randomly assigned to SAP, but I’ve realised I really want to move away from this and move towards what I originally planned on pursuing i.e. data analysis, I was already well versed in ML and DL with python.
If anyone has made a similar transition, it would be great if you could help me understand how do I go about this.
