Looking to help a friend find an entry-level tax opportunity (remote or in the Chicago area). She graduated with her bachelor's degree (3.4 GPA), completed her 150 credit hours, and interned at PwC, where she accepted a full-time offer.

Before her start date, she stepped away to care for her brother during his battle with cancer and is now ready to begin her career after his unfortunate passing.

Tell her to go back to PwC, explain why she stepped away and see whether they can offer her place again. Or re-apply through the Big 4 grad schemes.

She is incredibly hardworking, smart, kind, and dependable. She worked full time throughout college while earning her degree and supporting her family during a very difficult time. I know she would be a great addition to any team.

If your firm is hiring or knows of any openings, I'd greatly appreciate a referral or lead. Thank you!

Hey, I’m confused if she was offered an internship at Pwc, why isn’t she working there? Did she not accept it or is she looking for something different?

She was supposed to start i think last summer full time but couldnt. Yeah worth reaching out to them.

I am prior military and went to law school. I had a family to take care of while I was a student, hence I went as fast as possible to get to a paycheck, graduating in 2 years, and bypassing the standard summer clerkships. How could I get some experience strictly remote? I am w-2 working as an accountant in healthcare, have passed the bar and am working on my CPA license (studying starts at 3 am, then work FT). I would like to eventually hang a shingle as a tax lawyer, but need experience. TIA!

Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year. I have been supervising and managing our team of 6 for months with no extra pay or bonuses. I was told yesterday that raises will be light this year. Yet today they spare nothing.

Cognizant Recently cognizant have changed their internet wfh allowance policy.we use to get 1800 per month as internet allowance without submitting any bills or transaction details. Now they changed the policy as we need to apply for icici/axis/hdfc credit card from there we need to make the transaction and reimburse the same. I am ok with everything but why i need to apply for credit card? How a company can force me to have a credit card? It will directly/indirectly alter the credit score right? Cogniza

I am worried that I am being benchmarked on a wrong job title.

Sales Manager vs International Manager or should it be something else?

My employer is based in China, while I am in France. I remotely manage a global sales team, with team members from around the globe. They all work remotely as well.

Being remote, and managing an international remote team, I would like to know what should be my job title? Any idea or professionals that I may contact, please?

Thank you.

Please suggest to get some nice suits at London. I will be there for two weeks.

Heading into 2023, here are some phrases I'm eliminating:

1. "No worries."
2. "No problem."
3. "Sorry to bother you."
4. "Does this make sense?"
5. "Sorry, I'll fix that right now."

Here's what I'm replacing them with: ⤵
1. My pleasure.
2. Of course, happy to help.
3. When you have a minute, can I get your opinion on ____?
4. Does this help you clarify things?
5. Thank you for catching that!
