Highkey judging you if you send an ooo calendar invite without turning off responses (and marking as free)
100%. I am NOT accepting.
Highkey judging you for sending a team-wide OOO calendar invite in the first place. I don’t need that on my calendar, just set your OOO message in MS Office and leave it at that.
THIS IS THE ANSWER!! ^^^
Make it an “all day event” so it doesn’t screw with the hour to hour calendar. And all the other etiquette (mark as free, optional, don’t request responses)
That too (tho I got push back from a supervisor for doing it…it’s still best practice)
I legitimately couldn't care less! I also don't need to know when every person on my team with a child has to go do something with them or if you're going to the doctor
It is amazing how basic this feature is and how poorly calendar tools support it.
Let the person set they’re “out”… let everyone else choose which individuals or teams they want absence visibility for in their local calendar… a simple publish-subscribe pattern.
If the designer want bonus points, then link this with whatever leave approval system is in place and name this automatically happen if the leave is approved and undo if the leave is cancelled.
It’s not rocket science 🚀
Yea I don’t get that. If I mark it as available on the one that I invite ppl to, it’s not taking up space in your cal. All for you to forget I’m ooo and keep calling/texting (even with an ooo email notification on)
