Maine has a teacher shortage, but at the same time, they've been turning away experienced professionals if they aren't certified in that state. It's one thing they want to change, but I don't get it. Would you pursue applying to jobs in a state that may or may not want you if you're not from there? How do you feel about it?

Hello everyone I live in Chicago. I have been teaching Preschool for over 15 years. I have a Bachelor’s in ECE, credential 5 with gateway. Now I work as a kindergarten Specialist.
