Find creative ways to promote the equipment - community events, challenges via social media, etc. People are still buying sporting and outdoor equipment, though not as much. You have to stand out among your competition!
I think there's a large contingent of people that have gotten more active/concerned with their health because of the pandemic. I would try to identify and appeal to those people (you might find something by looking into some of the health experts/doctors who have big followings on social media. Look up Andrew Huberman of Lily Nichols for example!
During the height of the pandemic, I was pleased to see that sales had increased, however, it is unfortunate that the trend is now reversing. To help boost sales, I suggest creating special promotions and discounts to encourage people to stay active and get out into nature. I believe that by doing this, we can help to manage risks and encourage more people to get active.
