Microsoft Interview - Customer Solutions Architecture
I was able to secure an interview at Microsoft for the Customer Solutions Architecture position. Want to find out from everyone what kind of questions I should be expecting in this interview and what the hiring process is going to be like. FYI, a recruiter from RANDSTAD America is coordinating the interview, not sure if that makes a difference. 

I’m a senior product manager and I’ve been trying to get a role at google, Uber, Lyft, TikTok or Facebook. It’s been tough to even get a message back from recruiters. Any advice for someone trying to work for some of those bigger companies ? Should I take some specific online course to stand out ?

What do you look for when applying for a job? (besides pay)

I am 12 yoe, working at a very stable product based organisation (not NEC).
But I want to switch to a better role & compensation.

I got an offer from Thoughtworks GGN as a lead consultant. Being a mother, I have anxiety about joining TW, since it is service based.

1. Bcoz of the recession and hiring is not for specific project, is it the right time to join TW or is it risky w.r.t job security?
2. How flexible is TW for WFH or it depends on the client?
3. How is WLB?

Anyone working in power bi role in KPMG?

I had a really weird interview for Creative Director today.

It’s a small startup. HR interviewed me and asked all the hard hitting questions (how do you get design inspiration, how do you deal with design roadblocks, what sets you apart for this role?) which I thought was odd for a screening interview.

They made some affirmative noises then said the next step would be a design test (one pager) which I would present to a panel of interviewers including the CMO.
Anyone else think this is odd?

I just got a job offer, that pays $4,000 (10%) more than what I currently make. The role is very similar to mine. It has better insurance, flight benefits, and I would WFH 2 extra days per week.

Is switching jobs for $4,000 plus other methods of compensation worth it?

16 years experience as HR transformation consultant and on the verge of loosing job coz of no projects after I complete my current project this aug ... sick and tired of applying with no response from recruiter.. looks like I have to drive Uber and work in Walmart to support my family .

These days, is it a plus to have agency experience vs. those who don’t? Do hiring decision makers prefer those who have proven to be adept strategists across a variety of industries or those with more focused background in their specific industry? For context, I have about 5 years progressive agency experience in brand and campaign/messaging strategy, and about 3-4 years various in-house marketing roles before that as a younger professional. Advice for dealing with a difficult manager? I think I'm doing really well in my role and I get on really well with clients. A2 in audit and not really feeling like it’s the job for me - been feeling the downstream effects of staffing shortages and having started my job fully remote with zero office time.
