Fears and phobias can be treated - I would start with that. Address what's giving you the anxiety, and you can make progress toward being able to drive. There are therapists who specialize in this kind of assistance.
We mostly order groceries online, and my husband either runs errands or drives me.
Before pregnancy, my husband encouraged me to at least get my learner’s licence, but after I explained how intense my road anxiety is, he stopped pushing. The anxiety is so strong that I feel it even as a passenger.
Sometimes I worry about how I’d manage if my husband had to travel for work or wasn’t around for a few days. I know the obvious answer is to learn driving and get my licence, but right now I just can’t.
Is anyone else in a similar situation? How do you manage?
