I'm sure I think about media law to a ridiculous degree, and I don't really have any complaints about that. It's good to always know where the line is. It's always shocking to me to see how many people have no idea how libel law works, and they're either committing libel or wrongly thinking someone else has. If media law lives rent-free in your head that's not such a bad thing, really.
That is reassuring. I guess it is better to overthink than risk stepping over the line. I just wish the law felt less like a ghost sitting over my shoulder every time I hit submit

Exactly! Easy for them when their name is not attached. I think that is why the fear feels heavier for us as writers.
Yes — it’s always in the back of my mind too. It’s not a bad thing though, it shows you take responsibility seriously. Better to overthink than overlook something important.
