No. It won't be to track your whereabouts, it'll be so they can get a hold of you day and/or night.
…weekends and holidays!
I strongly advise getting one. It’s a little bit of a pain to carry two phones, but totally worth it to keep work and personal completely separate. My personal life doesn’t need to be discoverable by them, and only work activities on the work device. Also on days off, no one is bothering me because the work phone is put away or else I could never relax.
The good side of a company phone is you can leave it at home when you’re out for dinner with your spouse or hiking on the weekends.

Company phone, for sure. You can leave it at home when you’re off the clock and use its data plan when you travel internationally.
I’d love a company phone if I could get one! My agency refuses, so my clients don’t get my personal number. 🤷 My direct leadership has my number if they need me in an “emergency”, or while we’re traveling but I draw a hard line with clients.
Ugh I’m sorry. I had to learn that lesson the hard way too. 🫠

Turn it off outside business hours, keep it on during those days where you need to shift business hours to accommodate life happening.
My friends who had company phones mostly used them as GPS so they wouldn’t dig into their personal data plans lol
I’d never want to carry 2 phones. Let alone have them call me whenever they feel like it.
Yes to the company phone. Can leave it behind on weekends, holidays and vacations….
I have it so vendors aren’t calling my personal line because teams distorts anything when an outside line and then I just throw it in a desk outside my working hours to completely disconnect for the weekends

I like how most of them assume we have company phones and have long distance on our domestic plans lol
i gave my company phone to my partner to use while i use my personal. regretting it when i get work whatsapp’s on my personal now lol
I use my personal phone/number but my company pays for my plan - I've moved my number so that its the same as my personal one, but then, most of people don't know about my number because I'm still the one who decides where to add it and its not done automatically :)
Your wearables? Are you day drinking now? 😂 (I kid.) Our company does a modest monthly phone reimbursement which offsets the cost a little bit but then that way you have your own phone which I really prefer and like.
