My boyfriend is starting his full time MBA this year, and I plan to apply now and aim M7 next year. We have been together 7 years since college and I’m just worried that we end up finding jobs in different cities. Does long distance relationship last? How can we manage to get back together?

I’m going to b school in a different city from where my GF goes to med school. Been long distance for about a year and a half now. Long distance works, but you both need to fully trust each other, have a good communication schedule, and have a concrete plan on how you both will end up in the same city in the future. On the point of trust, it won’t work if you have any doubts about infidelity. On the point of communication, you need to create a schedule for and set expectations on when you will speak, visit each other, and how responsive both of you are to texts or calls. Regularly talk about communication with your SO and adjust as needed as you go. Many LDRs fail because one person starts feeling like they aren’t receiving enough attention. On the point of a future plan, make sure to have a full career discussion with your SO and decide on a single city you guys want to be in for the long run early on. That way, you can both keep your efforts focused during the job search. Also, having a clear plan for your future together will motivate you even more to get that job you want in that city because your relationship depends on it. Good luck to you and your BF! I’m rooting for yall!

I would never recommend 2 people in love to split for career purpose. Long distance is risky and draining. Misunderstanding quickly happens and the separation is never really far.

I met my wife I was a struggling entrepreneur in Africa, we decided to love each other and live for one another. I moved to the town she was living in and went seeking different opportunities, at first she supported me for quite the time but I could bounce back and repay her trust.

Business made me travel all over our country and she was by my side. At a point where we felt stuck she asked for us to move to another country. I was against because I was doing great. But because of the vow to live for one another I took the risk.

We have been together for 8 years, got married 2 years ago, we have 2 children, we now live in Canada, and she completed her masters of engineering management while I worked and soon I will go for my MBA while she works.

Together there is always a way.

I mean at some point in your life you have to make choices based on your significant other, it's the late simple.

Do what you need to do for your career. If you do end up in different cities and he wants to be with you, he will move to where you are. Long-distance is not easy, but being in the same city is no guarantee that your relationship will last.

Interviewing question: for anecdotal “tell me abt a time when..”, & similar questions - are you allowed to recycle stories from your undergrad years or do they only look for post grad/work stuff? Afraid some of the stories that sounded okay at undergrad recruiting might now come across as a bit “lightweight” in this context...like would they eye roll if we start talking about that one time we did a science competition sophomore year of college (even though it taught an important lesson)..etc.🤔

Heading to an M7 soon from a tech company where I work in a product-adjacent position. I didn’t need this degree to “break into” product management (former company would have let me transition), but I still figured it could be good for the long run.
Now when thinking about 100K in loans, I feel anxious about not getting a PM role after. Was this the right move?

I got a 730 a couple of weeks back and it's been weighing on my mind as to whether I should re-sit. I feel its such an in between score. Am I right in thinking this way or does anyone have any advice for me either way?

Hey guys, need some advice. I was fortunate enough to get the Consortium fellowship at Ross but am also stuck on the CBS waitlist and am still planning to apply to Wharton in R3. Assuming I get into CBS/Wharton, is there that much of a difference between them to forgo scholarship money? For context, I want to get into product management at FAANG/fintech with pursuing MBB as a plan B. Thanks in advance!
