My challenge in finding the ideal job is that most positions don't offer enough pay to keep up with today's economy. I'm trying to expand my career palette and return to school, but it's difficult because many jobs don't provide internships, externships, or any support for career advancement. As a result, I feel stuck and dissatisfied with my career path.

Don’t get disheartened, be encouraged you can always start over and now they are starting to pay you to go to school, something will open up . You ever thought about occupational therapy they get paid a lot and short school time. Start inquiring about free classes . Also program like the safe guard they pay u and you stay on base for free ,”food included while they train you for a trade.

There was support years ago in the medical field, although the in the past 10 years, I find few companies who assists with any type of expenses. My best to you, After you have many years of training, you can work as a sole proprietor, with proper insurance.Good Luck !

Hello, Try searching online for Free Certifications. If you don’t have to, I would not take out another loan for college unless you were going for Nursing. Going to college don’t guarantee you will get hired or that you will get more pay ( I’m not being negative, just telling from past experiences). Don’t get discouraged and keep applying!!🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 The job market is bad right now. Good luck to you!

Have you tried looking into work from home positions? I know several health insurance companies that have open positions for like customer service reps that work from home. Sometimes even if you get the same pay as you make now it actually works out that you make more because you don’t have expenses for things like travel/gas, clothing, makeup etc. sounds silly but those things can really add up. Also, most of these companies offer benefits for education or tuition assistance programs. Working in the field can make it difficult to be able to find time to attend classes because you may not have a set schedule in which you get off on time. As a nurse I worked in the field and found it very difficult to be able to go back to school because of this, but now working from home I was able to complete my masters. I will keep you in my prayers and hope you can find a viable solution.

Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?
