My colleague published something last week and the sourcing looks completely made up. Like, really obvious stuff. I'm debating whether to speak up or stay quiet. How do you guys handle this kind of thing in your newsrooms?

That is a tricky one. Sometimes it can put you in a bad place with colleagues and editors. It not only underminds the writer but also the person who approved it. I personally would stay quiet and not rock the boat. Mind your own work and leave everyone else to their own

Not my circus, not my monkeys. As long as it's not causing harm to people physically, I stay out of it. Because what if you're wrong and the sourcing was actually correct? You've probably just damaged that relationship.

That is serious. If sources look fabricated, you cannot ignore it. Journalism lives or dies on credibility. Quietly flag it to an editor before it becomes a bigger problem.

In the beginning of my career I absconded 1 company who had 3 years bond and I worked there for 5 months. My pf account is created for that company and it has been closed with reason cessation (short service). After that I worked in 1 company for 6 years and since January I'm working in TCS. Should I mention my first company experience. So far I'm not mentioning it anywhere.

I’m finding that traditional news becoming obsolete is leading to management taking their frustrations out on staff. The result is a mass exodus in the industry, at least in my area. Are you experiencing the same?

The argument that climate change is not man-made has been disproven by science over and over again, yet many people believe that the global crisis is either not real, not of our making, or both, in part because the news media deliberately chooses not to talk about it because it doesn't sell enough.

One of my direct reports has asked about going part time. They currently manage special reports in a bi-weekly publication, working closely with sales, freelance writers, and an internal designer. Job duties are primarily project management and editing/proofreading. As the first read on articles, they need to have an understanding of the material (business/regulation). Has anyone had experience with job sharing in this type of a role?
