My company is quietly outsourcing its entire data science department to Eastern Europe, and the wage disparity is frankly terrifying. They are hiring brilliant, PhD-level ML engineers in Poland for roughly €45k a year to replace a US team that cost $180k per head. The quality of output hasn't dropped a single bit. How are we in the US supposed to maintain premium pricing when global talent is this good?
