My firm installed software that tracks mouse movement and idle time, and I’ve never felt more insulted as a professional. I’m hitting all my deliverables and putting in 60 hours a week, but now I’m getting pings from my manager if I step away for ten minutes to clear my head. Are you guys seeing this invasive tracking at your shops?

Yikes that sounds way too big brother for me. time to get out and start looking elsewhere

Get a mouse jiggler

I'm curious if it really is your manager pinging you or just the agent/bot tracker. Worth conversation with your manager if manager's not the one literally pinging you (hard to believe that is worth manager's time). If it is manager, probably some kind of device as others have suggested as long as you can maintain tabs on whether someone tries to communicate with as if you are active at your desk

I received an offer for 80k to work as a desktop engineer for TCS at one of their client’s locations. However, I have seen poor reviews for working at TCS and I’d like to get some feedback from anyone currently or had previously worked for that company. What is the environment like and has anyone been in a situation where the contract with TCS and the client ended and had trouble with TCS finding them a new role at the same pay?

I need some insight. Just had a phone interview for a management job in healthcare. I felt comfortable and felt like the interview went well. I ask questions and the ACNO said that I asked great questions. They said that they had other interviews to do as well but said the next step is to bring me in for an on-site interview (I live 1,000 miles away) and that the recruiter would be reaching out. Thoughts? I’m going to drive myself crazy analyzing everything.

So for any of you panicky paper-hands who need to get talked down from selling.

This is what playing dirty looks like - welcome to the real Wall Street. They want to send a message to scare off enough people by mimicking a crash through intentional sales that trigger freezes. This is the endgame, because they know that if retailers don't blink they have to take the bath of all baths tomorrow.

Log out, get some fresh air, come back later. Lots of good DD on wsb and discord. HOLD is FUN!

Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. Wondering what the usual tax bracket is of people retired (around 65yo) as I’m not sure anything would bring in significant income with the exception of investments. In my case would a Roth make sense? Appreciate any answers!!
