My friend got a role through Robert half and is called a “consultant” but doesn’t do PowerPoint or have to sell anything. Is he really a consultant?

Does he get 'consulted'? There are different types of consultants. PowerPoint is just a tool and as long as someone sells the work...

2 days back I got a card attached to a flyer in the mail, "Mike xxxx, Consultant, Oasis Landscaping..." Flyer had pics of patios and front/backyard landscaping.

So, there are different types of consultants. Most of us here are Management (or Technology) Consultants.

"A Consultants role is evaluate a client's needs and provide expert advice and opinion on what needs to be done while a Contractors role is generally to evaluate the client's needs and actually perform the work."

He's a contractor. Most contractors, especially RHI hired ones, love to use the term "consultant." They're not consultants because they're not introducing their own ideas and thoughts; they're contractors who are following the process laid out for them by the company that hired RHI.

I recently finished my MBA and have several YOE, and I’ve been targeting analyst/consulting roles after completing the Google Data Analytics certificate. Any input is appreciated.

Hey Fishes,

Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.

I have couple of more questions:
1. WLB as I have heard is pretty pathetic at ZS. Is it same in BO team as well?
2. Salary range for the AC role? (I have 3+ years of experience post MBA, before MBA 0 years, transitioning from big 4)
3. Any on-site opportunities?
4. How are other perks at the organisation? (Apart from fixed pay)
