I was on the bench for 2 straight months. It was glorious. I went on vacations and when I got bored, decided to do some certs on Accentures dime. I got promoted that year.
I’m pretty sure Accenture is notorious for laying people off when on the bench
Get staffed ASAP. You get your full salary, but you get let go after 6wks I think.
How does the company help place someone on other projects?
Golden rule is, don’t be on bench for too long.
Having said that, I’ve seen people being on 8 months on the bench before let go. The minimum I’ve seen is 3 months, but I’m sure there are examples of shorter timeline. It depends upon multiple aspects.
Depends on your level. The higher you’re the more dangerous for you for being on bench.
