Hey for tax it is ok salary but generally it is between 75-80
Sounds awfully low. It’s 2018!
An experienced hire coming into EY as a senior 2 should make no less that 90k. At least.
EY1 that sounds like advisory salary. are Tax peeps got that much too? i doubt..
Does your friend care for the opportunity?
Low
how much should it be? 75 at least? also has 2 years of experience at a smaller firm
Associates at pwc get hired for 70s
@MD1 she just felt she got underpaid in her current firm but expecting for a bigger salary raise from EY.
She should hold out. Sounds like they are low balling her. Even for tax. Chicago is a 1st tier city I believe. They should pay more.
Are you sure it’s not a staff 2 position? That seems very low for a Senior in Chicago
There might be a little room to negotiate that up but it doesn’t strike me as outrageously low for tax. Tax and assurance are materially less than advisory and TAS
i relocated from Chicago to NY and no, Chicago is Tier 2. and yes, it is for Senior 2 because she has 2 years of exp. already..is it reasonable for her to negotiate to 75?
I am in Tax and was hired as senior 1 at 76k. I heard someone before me got hired at 80K. So that is definitely low.
got it thanks ey4. which city are u in btw?
DC metro area. It is comparable to Chicago
