I’ve been at a boutique supply chain consulting firm for a little over a year and have primarily been working in the software/implementations space. I’m interested in more of the strategic side of supply chain with exposure to clients in retail, CPG, and technology. Any advice and/or specific firms I should look into?

Boutique focused on what software?

What do you mean by strategic? IMO a strong supply chain strategy is all about alignment to the commercial and product strategies and enabling their execution.

Thank you for the detailed response! It certainly alleviated some of my concerns. I’d love to DM you to chat further and especially understand your insights in the context of your role at Amazon, but I don’t have enough likes on my profile 😅

DM me.

I currently work at a boutique consulting firm, heavy focus on Retail performance improvement. We do a lot of supply chain strategy & design work, and a bit of implementation support, but never heavy duty software implementations. That being said, understanding the software side is a huge plus and would definitely add value on the projects we do. (We all understand the software to varying level, but not implementation level)

Happy to discuss pros & cons, as well if you’d be interested in our firm, I can make a recommendation.

Team just applied for a TS Clearance (defense agency). Trying to assess if it makes sense to wait till the clearance comes through (6 months to a year?) before I job hop. I'm hoping to get some clarity on the following:
1. Can my company withdraw or cancel my clearance if I leave right after I secure a TS?
2. In terms of compensation, how much value (% compensation) does a TS clearance have in the DC area? Places I'm considering: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data bricks, Appian etc.
Any advice, thanks!

If a firm has multiple openings that you’re interested in, is it a good or bad idea to apply to more than one position? I’m a third year interested in retooling from lit to general corp, but they prefer someone with 3+ years of corporate experience. They’re also looking for an M&A with 1+ years, so it may be easier to aim for that, but I’ve heard horror stories re WLB for M&A. Would still try it out tho bc I’m desperate to leave lit, but don’t want to make a faux pas. Any insights appreciated!

Feeling under-qualified for non-FAANG tech product counsel role. Final interview upcoming. I'm a BigLaw junior and pivoted to data privacy/cybersecurity a year ago.

Is this just normal impostor syndrome? Does anyone feel truly *prepared* to go in-house? I have little to no experience advising on product and do mostly incident response, but this seems like a unicorn-level opportunity I can't pass up (great comp, role, and willing to hire me, a junior).

Any insight is deeply appreciated.
