My performance at work has significantly taken a dip post second child. 3 year and 2 month old. 100% wfh and wife is SAHM. I hear the madness outside my office and always jump out to help and each time away from my desk takes time and messes up my rhythm. Has anyone else experienced? Tips? Fear I will end up looking bad in front of boss/team.

A question from a youngster. Is working at a big big company with slightly low pay better or working at a much smaller company with higher pay better?

In the future, after a few years, let’s say I’m at a small company and want to switch to big big company, will the “small names” hurt my chance to get into the big doors?

I mean big big company is like 10x bigger than the small one if this was a factor. Assume everything else the same, WLB, commute, teams, etc.

I am looking to transition to a lower acuity position such as pre op, or honestly work remote as the work life balance is not fulfilling for me. Any recommendations on hospital jobs that are less stressful or any companies that offer competitive pay to work remote? I make 38/hr currently and would like to maintain that rate. Thank you!

Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well.
