my recent experience with Mindtree: Careernet HR asked for my expected salary on day one before scheduling interviews. I clearly mentioned my expectation, and they proceeded with two rounds. After clearing both, they suddenly said they can offer only up to a 30% hike.
If expectations were an issue, why even start the process? They knew my number from the beginning. Telling me about a strict cap only after two rounds felt unfair and unprofessional. Completely avoidable Iff they were transparent.

Favorite statistical modeling technique to use? ANN, SVM, LR, PCA, etc. And any specific reasons? Industry, ease, interpretability, etc.

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

I have an offer from MindTree. DoJ was 21 Sep but was not getting relieving from current company. Hence requested to give a revised DoJ (1month extension). Does the offer/salary also need to be revised. My current company is offering me a retention hike thats not close to MindTree offer.
