Need counsel: Left advertising to go client side last year. Working at a huge company isn’t for me long-term but the money is great, I have more balance and actually raised my kids this year. I have the opportunity to be a c-suite leader at a very small agency on the rise. Super confused. Money will be less, long-term opportunity will be more. Also thinking about having another kid soonish.

Stay client side until you're done having kids.

Being a c-suite leader at small agency sounds like you’ll really have to put your hard effort in to get that upside. If you are still looking to have kids (have young kids) and imho I’d stay client side and reevaluate when you’re done having kids. Also you’ll want that money with kids now. You can lean in harder later. Agencies are always going to need good people.

How stable is the small agency? And how parent friendly are they? I wouldn’t undervalue how important those things have been to you client side so I’d made damn sure any future agency moves won’t be at the loss of those qualities. Good luck!

Talk yourself out of this toxic idea. Keep the money and balance! Sounds like a utopia.

Getting over heartbreak and having a full time job is torture lol. My boyfriend and I just broke up after almost a year of being together. It was such a beautiful relationship but ultimately he just didn’t love me. I love him so much. My mind knows that I deserve reciprocal love and I’m worthy, but I feel physically ill. My body hurts, my stomach is in knots, my head hurts. How is it that I have to mend a broken heart but also meet my billable hours lmao
