Hi, did anybody ever experience wrong tax calculations by JPMC Payroll/tax team ? Or is there any specific month where they deduct more tax. Huge amount of tax deduction is done for Oct payout. From my CA’s calculation the amount deducted by JPMC team looks wrong. Anybody experienced this?

Deloitte plug, btw
Do they not help with transferring to some other member firm in UK or Asia?
EY's immigration team needs to be fired.
OP: I'm not sure it's fair to say a lot of things you're posting on here. Visa issues are incredibly personal and I can only imagine the dilemma you're facing - and I'm incredibly sorry for the situation you're in. Here are a few pointers:
1. Have you made strong relationships with any Partners? Assuming you've been with the firm at least one year - reach out to them ask them if they are willing to connect you with their colleagues in other countries. Each EY member firm has completely different hiring criteria and local HR can't usually assist with that, but Partners and their network can. I'd try and see if that's a possibility
2. Have you made it clear to EY that you will have a EAD card with certainty within a defined timeline? If there's no ambiguity with that, you should talk to your counselor and Partners to let them know that all that warrants is a temporary leave of absence. My guess is that EY may no buy into that if there's ambiguity with how and when you'll be able to get that EAD - which you obviously can't control
3. Like any other lesson in life, it's all about connections and the relationships you've built. Use this month to do everything you can to cash out on those to help your cause - and then work fearlessly to return the favor and build equity again.
HR may not be your best channel, find other ways to help your cause if you can.
Hope you get rehired back soon after OP 😢

Always Deloitte!!!!
OP - if u don't mind me asking what do u mean by EY does not want to support the visa category?
EY immigration team is horrible, they forgetten my documents for visa before
@senior consultant - That is absolutely not true. My wife now, then girlfriend was in a similar situation. Did not get through the H1B lottery and they just said they cannot do anything. She had to reach out to folks in Deloitte Canada and other countries herself. She interviewed and got the role at Deloitte Canada but the US firm did absolutely nothing. She did not take the Canada offer though as there was a more reasonable employer in the US willing to apply for three H1B and wait. Deloitte treats its employees very poorly. Btw I was at Deloitte as well before moving to PwC. Immigration team, firm culture, and firm policies at Deloitte are awful is an understatement
@D1 - HR??? Lol. You guys need to stop trying to sell the Deloitte kool aid sooooo hard
I will have to be re-hired once the visa situation works out. In such a scenario, I think I stand a chance to get a severance package, right? Any thoughts on firm policy, where to dig up policy documents and how to initiate the conversation.
KPMG - I am on a student visa, and they have classified the visa as "high risk" and have let me know Sep 30th will be my last day with the firm
EY 1 - The relocation process is slow, inefficient and useless. I dont think they will relocate me to another region.
OP - That is unfortunate. Sorry to hear. What you planning now?
That is such bullshit. Are you on OPT?
Another EY-er bites the dust. Due to no fault of them
OP are you using CPT from a bogus college? In that case it's high risk for sure. None of my friends on OPT had any issues. I'm really sorry to hear you didn't get H1B and you should look into EY international.
My OPT ended and I can transfer to my spouses H4 EAD in a few months, but EY wouldnt help me transfer to my home country for those few months. Instead I need to be laid off :( I should technically get severance, right?
KPMG - Dont know! I am out of ideas and honestly the will to work with a such a terrible employer :/
